Nrithyakshetra – Code of Conduct

 

1. Punctuality & Attendance

 

Arrive at least 5 minutes early for class.

 

Inform in advance if you will be late or absent.

 

Regular attendance is essential for steady progress.

 

2. Dress Code

 

Wear proper dance attire (practice sari/salwar for girls; kurta/pyjama for boys).

 

Hair must be neatly tied back and out of the face.

 

3. Respect & Discipline

 

Show respect to the Guru, fellow students, and the temple premises or studio.

 

Begin and end each class with a respectful Namaskaram.

 

Maintain silence and focus during lessons unless asking relevant questions.

 

4. Phone & Recording Policy

 

Phones must be switched off or on silent mode during class.

5. Practice & Progress

 

Practice daily at home to reinforce what is taught in class.

 

Maintain a notebook or dance journal to record notes, corrections, and reflections.

 

6. Cleanliness & Responsibility

 

Keep the dance space clean, neat, and clutter-free.

 

Bring your own water bottle, towel, and notebook each day.

 

7. Performance & Participation

 

If you commit to an event organized by your Guru, be fully available for all rehearsals and the final performance.

 

Do not perform items taught in class at outside events unless explicitly permitted by your Guru.

 

Accept feedback and corrections with a positive and open mindset.

 

8. Behaviour Outside Class

 

Always uphold the dignity of Nrithyakshetra in your public and online behaviour.
